London, 27 October 2009 – Sharp has launched the R270 microwave oven series, designed to meet the needs of the solo microwave user for versatile, speedy results in the kitchen.

These stylish new models – available in either white, silver or black with a modern blue LED display, present the quality design features synonymous with Sharp solo microwaves. These include handy one touch auto minute control, allowing you to quickly reheat food at full power in one minute blasts, multipurpose defrost options that offer flexibility for all defrosting requirements, and more Auto Cook options than the predecessor in this category.

More menu options at your fingertips
The Auto Cook menus have been designed specifically for the user who wants every day, quick and easy reheat and cook modes at the touch of a button. All the old favourites are there such as jacket potato, rice and pasta and now there are new menus selections for fresh vegetables, pizza, popcorn and frozen meals. User operation is simple and clear - there’s even a handy reheat option for tea and coffee.

Up against the clock
The R270 series also features Auto Weight Cook and Auto Weight Defrost options to take the guess work out of cooking, while the speed defrost offers extra quick defrosting when time is of the essence. A handy kitchen timer provides a little extra help in the kitchen not only for microwave cuisine but also as a simple tool to time whatever else you are preparing.
