Dealers get Direct Response from Sharp
Sharp Electronics has unveiled three direct mail campaigns, highlighting its strengths in security, networked black and white printing and colour copier printers, designed to support the dealer channel.
Tom Primett, Marketing Manager for Sharp Document Solutions commented, The direct mail executions have been created to inform and educate businesses on current issues surrounding office technology. Many businesses will be reviewing their network security provision. Others will be considering whether it is worth investing in a large colour device with a lower total cost of ownership rather than maintaining a fleet of inkjet printers with higher running costs. Equally businesses may be interested in connecting more output devices to their IT network and be interested in how this can be achieved cost effectively.
The security mailer suggests to the end user ways in which office security can be improved. These include the installation of Sharp s unique Data Security Kit, which encrypts data saved on the hard disk of the office copier, preventing it from being retrieved by unauthorised personnel. The Secure Network Interface Card allows system administrators to to configure and control access to networked print devices, using a web-based utility. For businesses concerned about the amount of information stored in hard copy on site, there is SharpFind. An electronic document archiving and retrieval system, SharpFind enables the user to scan, store and retrieve data within seconds.
For resellers with customers contemplating adding further devices to their network, Sharp has produced a direct mail piece covering Ways to maximise black and white printer copier productivity . The campaign, which has been designed to support the AR-M300, AR-M350 and AR-M450 printer copiers, highlights the ease with which these devices may be added to the existing IT network. Each provides advanced printing, scanning and finishing within a single machine, and total document control direct from the desktop, allowing users to create, manipulate and distribute documents as required.
The final execution uses the slogan Take a leap into colour and discusses how the introduction of colour can have a significant impact on business. The Sharp AR-C260M boosts productivity by offering colour output at 26 pages per minute, and 32 pages per minute in black and white mode, yet has a low running cost to avoid inflating print expenditure.
The three direct mail pieces will be distributed by Sharp to qualifying dealers.
