Sharp is introducing the stylish ZQ-800P, a portable pen-touch organiser that syncs with a PC and enables email and attachments to be conveniently viewed anywhere.

With the ZQ-800P, Sharp is responding to the increasing popularity of email and the need to have constant reference to it as part of our everyday working and social lives.

As an organiser the device is a straightforward and intuitive alternative to a PDA, and is aimed at basic users who do not require multiple applications or complicated features.

With no prior experience of using an organiser needed, the ZQ-800P is the perfect combination of user-friendly functionality, size and looks. Housed in slick silver casing, weighing only 108g and with svelte dimensions of just 67 x 108 x 12mm (W x D x H), the unit is compact enough to be slipped into a pocket or briefcase and taken wherever the user goes.

Checking and responding to emails whilst out of the office or away from home is made easy with the organiser s sync and go feature. (This ensures that even if the organiser is lost the user s vital information is not) When returning to the desk or home, contact and email information is automatically updated when connected to a PC using the included link cable.

When on the move, attachment files from various formats such as Word, Excel, PowerPoint and PDF can also be viewed simply without the need for any additional hardware. The ZQ-800P comes supplied with comprehensive Wizard desktop software, which offers all the programs that a basic organiser user would need to manage information and use email without any background knowledge. The software also enables PDA preferences to be adjusted on the PC at a glance.

Packing an impressive 10Mb of memory it enables hundreds of emails to be stored and viewed at leisure. An additional feature is its high quality 160 x 160-dot screen with an illuminated backlight display that can be seen clearly even in poor lighting.

Joining the ZQ-800P in the range is its younger brother, the ZQ-290P, which is suitable for individuals who just need an organiser to keep track of simple information such as birthdays or contact details. Finished in silver, it comes with a PC-link which means users can be always up to date, by allowing the data on the organiser and PC to sync.

With 768Kb of memory and the ability to display 5 line and 14 characters on screen makes viewing whole records simple. The home and world clock and English/ Spanish word translator are particularly useful when travelling to Spain or abroad.
